Cover Letter for Job Application

Writing a cover letter for job application is essential, whether you are applying for a position by submitting your CV or through an application form.  This letter is also sometimes called a letter of application, which is exactly what it is.

The covering letter does not duplicate the information already given in your CV but highlights any relevant information. 

To find relevant information:

• Refer to the job advertisement.
• Visit the company website.
• Review any company literature that you are able to source.
• Read the job description carefully.
